Coronado rose up as Panamas first developed beach town. It is located about forty five minutes to the West of Panama city, via the InterAmercian Highway which is one of the best in Central America when it comes to quality.
Coronados entrance is marked by several shopping malls with a subway sandwich shop, various stores and an unusual grocery store called El Rey, which would not be out of its place in any developed American city.
Coronados beach is as nice as the beach in Santa Clara. The water in the beach of Coronado is however not that friendly because it has high rising tides and raving currents which could be fatal. Most of the coastal areas around the beach are used for real estate developments. Tall condo buildings are also dotted on the shores of Coronado these days.
The single family homes in Coronado vary from sizes and quality; you can get one from a very low end to even a super deluxe. Beach vacations are good for some people, but for others, not so much. You can group vacations in three different categories. Beach vacations, sightseeing, and theme parks. Before you begin to plan your vacation, you first must answer a few questions about your future vacation. Answering these questions will help you have an easier time planning and organizing you trip.
One, what is your budget? Without knowing your budget, you will have no idea what you can and cannot afford. For all you know, you can barely afford to head across town and stay in the Motel 6. Once you sit down as the head of households you can really plan out how much money you can spend on your vacation and then see what fits into your budget.
Two, do you want to relax or go, go, go? This is crucial! Some people just want to disappear and relax for the extent of their vacation. Some go on cruises or visit beach resorts to accomplish this. Others want to go, go, go! These types of vacations are for those individuals who want to visit the theme parks of America.
Three, do you have young children you will need to entertain? If you have young children, you will more than likely be visiting some form of theme park. Young kids don’t do well on the beach for 7-10 days unless you are super mom and dad and have hundreds of activities they can participate in. They get bored really easily, so a beach vacation may not be for you.
Four, how far do you want to travel? This is a huge question. Some people hate to leave their home state. Some people will not get on an air plane even if their lives depended on it. If you are looking to travel you need to figure out how far away the attraction is that you are planning on visiting. You should also take into account fuel costs if you are driving to your destination.
Five, somewhere new or somewhere you have already visited? I know an individual and their family who will not visit the same place twice other than Disneyland. They thrive on adventure and visiting new destinations. There are so many different places across America that you can do and see, so much history, and hundreds of landmarks. You can make a family vacation fit just about any destination.
Knowing these things will definitely help you in your planning process and make your decisions a little bit easier. Make sure that your family vacation is something that the whole family can enjoy.
A lovely holiday in Tenerife

It’s always difficult to decide where to go on holiday and the more years that pass, the more difficult it becomes. My family and I have grown accustomed to visiting places on the continent such as France and Italy, but after a lovely trip to a Greek island a few years ago, we are all hankering after an island holiday once more.
I started to have a look around online in order to find some inspiration, and I came across a great guide to Tenerife which really extolled the virtues of the island. I also looked at Tenerife Weather online and the climate looked great too! It’s not somewhere that we have been before, but after looking at the Island guide, it very quickly started to become somewhere that we all wanted to go. It seemed to me to be a changing Island, shedding it twenty four hour party image in favour of a relaxing holiday destination. By the looks of things, there were still places where you could go if you were after a week long party, but more and more places in the Island seemed to be catering for young families and couples.
I spoke to my family, and they all had a look at the website I had found. It seemed pretty unanimous that everybody wanted to go to Tenerife!
I managed to find a nice location online with a very reasonable deal, and I sent off for a nice looking guide book I had found. We were all set, and we couldn’t wait to explore Tenerife!

Tenerife is a great destination for beach holidays of all kinds. Whatever your idea of holiday paradise, you’re sure to find it here. Young singles will find a busy social scene, families will find plenty of activities to keep the kids happy, food lovers will enjoy the many restaurants, while sporty types can try out water-sports. This is the largest of the Canary Islands, and it has the variety to match in its resorts large and small.
The main centres for Tenerife Beach Holidays are the neighbouring resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas. The two resorts merge into each other, but each has its own distinctive character. Los Cristianos is quieter, and popular with families and couples looking to relax. That said, there is still a healthy nightlife here. Holidays in Playa de Las Americas are perfect for those looking to up the tempo after dark. The town has many popular bars and clubs which keep the party going until daylight, as well as two casinos.
If you prefer smaller resorts, you’ll find plenty of choice in Tenerife. Los Gigantes on the south west coast, and its near neighbour Playa La Arena, are good choices. Los Gigantes is the larger of the two, and has the busier nightlife. Las Teresitas beach, near the capital Santa Cruz, is one of the best on the island, and is popular with locals as well as tourists.
When you want to do something a little different, you’ll find Tenerife doesn’t disappoint. The cable car to the top of Mount Teide will give you an entirely different view of the island, with views across its volcanic interior and out into the ocean. Off-road buggies and quad bikes can be hired if you want to explore further at ground level. The area around Playa de Las Americas is packed with attractions, including Siam Park, a huge water park, and the Las Aguilas Jungle Park.
