Granada And The Alhambra Palaces

0

The Alhambra Palace must be seen when you travel to Granada. Its building has evolved over time with many new developments. The area of the Alhambra Palace contains the Alcazaba (the military fortress), the Palacios Nazaries (the Nasrid royal palaces), the Generalife Gardens (stunning gardens, fountains and patios where the Moors built their summer palaces) and the Medina (the town area where the workshops of craftsmen, houses and baths could be found).

Granada is also a University City. One third of its population is students at the university there and as such, its population is young and vibrant. This adds to the lively nightlife that can be found in the city. It also adds to the mix of cultures that can be found in Granada.

There are a number of holiday accommodation options available in Granada. One of the most exciting and impressive places to stay is in the majestic hotel in the grounds of the Alhambra Palace. The Alhambra Parador can be found nearby and this is situated in a part-palace, part-mosque from the 1300s. The modern part of the city of Granada is home to many three to four star hotels. Hostels and pensions are another accommodation option when you are staying in Granada. These are cheaper options than the hotels and they vary in quality, so you will need to look into them before you book.

Pensions in the old Arab-Jewish quarter of Albaicin are fast becoming a popular accommodation choice. They are generally charming with a mix between modern facilities and old-style interiors. Youth hostels are a good option for those traveling on a budget. They typically have shared rooms. Self-catering holiday rental apartment may be a good option for families who would like more space, freedom and privacy than they can be offered by other accommodation options.

Honeymoon at Caribbean luxury hotels

0

Some Caribbean luxury hotels make a good venue for wedding ceremonies and beach marriages, as they are located near beaches. Some top end luxury hotels have golf courses, tennis courts and other sporting activities to keep people busy when they are not too keen on sunning it on the beach. Water sports, diving and swimming are a popular activity amongst young couples and young people, as this is usually taken part with other people and instructors.

There are other affordable and budget  Caribbean luxury hotels available for those looking to travel without being too frivolous with their money. The luxurious side of the Caribbean does not necessarily need to be enjoyed indoors in a hotel, as this is more than made up for by their beautiful colourful views and white sandy beaches. In addition, with the deep blue sea and warming blue sky, makes it near impossible for you to stay indoors in a hotel.

Some of the budget accommodations will not offer spa treatments or sporting activities, however, they may include en-suite bathrooms with all double bedrooms and a choice of entertainments. Often, people find it easier to stay at bed and breakfasts or hostels, as this allows them the freedom to explore the island more rather than spending time indoors. This would suit people looking to do more sightseeing than enjoying luxury treatments in a hotel.

Honeymoons are best enjoyed with the relaxing heat, informal atmosphere and plenty of champagne, which is why the Caribbean is a popular destination for many honeymooners. Most of what the Caribbean offers reflect upon their service and reputation for the most relaxed area to reside in. Some hotels offer complimentary spa treatment, free meal at an in-house restaurant and the all-important complimentary champagne.

When choosing a honeymoon destination it is always a good idea to opt for a place that includes all the package deals a honeymoon is meant to contain. Look for something that will allow you to come in and out of the building as you wish with no tight curfews. At the end of the day you are there to relax and enjoy your time together.

A lovely holiday in Tenerife

0

It’s always difficult to decide where to go on holiday and the more years that pass, the more difficult it becomes. My family and I have grown accustomed to visiting places on the continent such as France and Italy, but after a lovely trip to a Greek island a few years ago, we are all hankering after an island holiday once more.

I started to have a look around online in order to find some inspiration, and I came across a great guide to Tenerife which really extolled the virtues of the island. I also looked at Tenerife Weather online and the climate looked great too! It’s not somewhere that we have been before, but after looking at the Island guide, it very quickly started to become somewhere that we all wanted to go. It seemed to me to be a changing Island, shedding it twenty four hour party image in favour of a relaxing holiday destination. By the looks of things, there were still places where you could go if you were after a week long party, but more and more places in the Island seemed to be catering for young families and couples.
I spoke to my family, and they all had a look at the website I had found. It seemed pretty unanimous that everybody wanted to go to Tenerife!

I managed to find a nice location online with a very reasonable deal, and I sent off for a nice looking guide book I had found. We were all set, and we couldn’t wait to explore Tenerife!
